Home made laundry detergent:
1 (4 lb 12 oz) Box of Borax
1 (3 lb 7 oz) Box of Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
1 (3 lb) Container of OxyClean
2 (14.1 oz) Bars of Fels Naptha
2 (2 lb) Boxes of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda
1 (55 oz or 2 of the smaller bottles) Bottle of Purex Crystals Fabric Softener (makes your clothes smell fabulous and eliminates the need for dryer sheets)
We layered everything in our big bucket, got elbow deep and stirred it up and TADA it's done. I bought the little pyrex shot glass because it has 1-2 tbsp labeled on it which is all you need of this stuff per load.

Home made Dish
washing Detergent:
2 cups Borax
2 cups Washing
Soda
12 oz Lemishine
(use the whole thing)
1 cup kosher
salt
Mix it all up really well and store in container with lid.
The total cost to
make this was just under $13 for about 110 loads
The best part
though is that when you need to make a second and third batch you only need to
purchase the LemiShine because there is lots of the other ingredients left over
from the first batch. That means that for around $20 you will actually get about
330 loads!!!!

Home made dusting spray:
8oz empty spray bottle
1 tsp olive oil
1/4 tsp essential lemon oil
1/8 cup white vinegar
1 cup water
Pour all liquids into spray bottle and shake before each use. I have used this on everything from wood to particle board to glass shelfs and it works great on everything and also helps keep dust away longer.
